Behind Coollecting
"The artist is a collector. Not a hoarder, mind you, there's a difference. Hoarders collect indiscriminately, artists collect selectively. They only collect things they really love."
— Austin Kleon, Steal Like an Artist
I've always believed that's what we're all doing through life — collecting memories, moments, pretty paper, too many hobbies, and the people who make it all feel worth keeping.
Coollecting started from that idea. A club for people who save ticket stubs, press flowers, fill journals, and believe that a beautiful envelope makes an ordinary Tuesday feel like something.
I'd love to be part of your collection too.

Hi, I'm Bea — aspire illustrator, immigrant, serial hobbyist, and corgi mom.
I was born and raised in the Northeast of Brazil and four years ago I packed my sketchbooks and crossed the ocean to Philadelphia, where I now live with my husband Mike and our corgi Maple, who serves as chief supervisor and unofficial studio mascot.
I've always been someone who makes things, watercolor, embroidery, clay, linocut, you name it. But illustration is my true language. It's how I process the world, tell stories, and connect with people I've never met.
Coollecting started because I believe everyone deserves mail worth opening. Every month I design and curate a little package of things I'd want to receive myself — original art, paper goods, a personal letter, things made with meaning and a little bit of soul.
Thanks for being here. I'm so happy we found each other.
