The Coollecting Membership

Coollecting is a monthly subscription club that delivers a curated letter to your door each month. Here’s what you need to know:

Each monthly letter includes a postcard or art print, sticker sheets or sticker pack, a handwritten letter, and other ephemeral goodies, all centered around a monthly theme.

The contents of each letter are curated by Coollecting and are the same for all members. You cannot select or customize which items you receive.

All artwork, illustrations, and printed materials are original works created by Coollecting.

Coollecting reserves the right to make substitutions to included items when necessary, while maintaining the overall quality and value of the letter.

Subscription & Billing

Your subscription renews automatically each month. By subscribing, you’re acknowledging the recurring nature of this charge and authorising me to charge your payment method every month until you cancel. You can cancel at any time through your account before your next billing date to avoid being charged for the following month.

Coollecting runs in monthly cycles. To receive a given month’s edition, you need to subscribe by 11:59pm EST on the last day of the previous month. Sign up after that and your first letter will be the following month’s.

For example: subscribe on January 31st and your first letter ships in February. Subscribe on February 1st and your first letter ships in March.

All prices are in USD. I may update pricing from time to time. If I do, I’ll always give current members advance notice.

Shipping & Delivery

Letters ship once a month via USPS First Class Mail, in a single batch. Every active member receives their letter in the same mailing. If you’ve just joined, your first letter will ship in the next monthly batch after your sign-up. I apply each stamp by hand, so no tracking is included. Once your letter is in the mail, I have no way to monitor where it is.

Delivery times are estimates, not guarantees. Once a letter leaves my hands, it’s in USPS’s. I can’t control postal delays, customs processing, or anything in between.

• United States: typically 1–3 weeks from the ship date

• International: typically 3–6 weeks from the ship date

International shipping is included in your subscription. Any customs fees, duties, or import taxes charged in your country are your responsibility. I have no control over those and can’t predict them.


Non-delivery & Replacements

Around the end of each delivery window, I send a monthly check-in survey to all members asking who has and hasn’t received their letter. Please wait for that survey before reaching out about a missing letter. That’s when I assess and process replacements.

Replacements are a courtesy, not a guarantee. A few things to know:

• I can send one replacement per edition. I’m not able to send a second replacement for the same letter.

• I can’t send replacements month after month. If letters keep not arriving, I’ll look into it with you, but a persistent pattern may result in membership cancellation.

If your letter was undeliverable because of an incorrect or incomplete address you provided, that’s not something I’m able to cover. Please always double-check your address before your billing date. If it’s the first time this has happened, I may offer a one-time courtesy replacement at my discretion, but that grace is extended once, and once only.

Cancellations & refunds

You can cancel at any time through your account. Your cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing cycle, so you won’t be charged again after that.

I don’t offer refunds for letters that have already shipped or for months where the sign-up deadline has already passed, except where required by applicable law.

Because every edition is handmade and curated, I don’t accept returns or exchanges, except where required by applicable law.

If your letter arrives damaged or if something is missing, please email hello@coollecting.com within 14 days of delivery with a photo. I’ll look at every case individually and do my best to make it right.

Pausing or skipping a month

Need to skip a month? Email me at hello@coollecting.com before your next billing date. Once you’ve been charged, I’m unable to process a refund for that month and your letter will ship as normal.

Intellectual Property

Everything you see in a Coollecting letter, the illustrations, postcard art, designs, patterns, inserts, and the writing, is my original work. It’s protected under US copyright law and international copyright treaties, and registered with both the US Copyright Office and the Brazilian INPI.

You’re welcome to use what’s inside your letter for personal creative projects: scrapbooking, junk journaling, personal correspondence, that kind of thing. That’s exactly what it’s made for.

What’s not okay: reproducing, copying, selling, or using any of my work for commercial purposes without my written permission. That includes reselling items from your letter or using my artwork in products or content you make money from.

I actively monitor for unauthorised use of my work and will take action if needed, including DMCA takedowns and legal proceedings.

Coollecting.com uses cookies to improve your browsing experience and for analytics purposes. By using our website, you consent to the use of cookies. You may adjust your browser settings to decline optional cookies, though some features of the site may not function properly as a result.

Disclaimer

I put real care into every letter I send. But to the fullest extent permitted by law, I’m not liable for:

• Delays, losses, or damage caused by USPS, international postal services, or customs

• Undelivered letters due to an incorrect address provided at checkout

• Any indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of this website or Coollecting services


Privacy & data


When you subscribe, I collect your name, email address, and shipping address. I use this information solely to fulfil your membership and communicate with you about it. I don’t sell your data to anyone, ever.

To run Coollecting, your data is processed by the following third-party services, each with its own privacy policies:

• Stripe – payment processing

• MailerLite – email communications

• Zapier – automation between services

• Google Sheets – address management for shipping

My lawful basis for processing your data is the performance of a contract – specifically, fulfilling your subscription. I retain your data for up to 3 years after your membership ends, after which it is deleted. This period covers any outstanding legal, accounting, or dispute obligations.

If you’re based in the European Union, you have the following rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR):

• The right to access the personal data I hold about you

• The right to correct inaccurate or incomplete data

• The right to request deletion of your data, subject to any legal retention obligations

• The right to restrict or object to how your data is processed

• The right to data portability

Changes to These Terms

I may update these Terms from time to time. If anything significant changes, I’ll let current members know by email. The latest version will always live on this page. Continuing to use Coollecting after an update means you’re accepting the new terms.
